We are looking for new Barber Proteges to join our team. While we focus on men’s hairstyles, you should be comfortable using a variety of hairstyling techniques for different customers. You must have strong communication and customer service skills; we want all of our customers to enjoy being in our barbershop and leave satisfied with their cut so that they become regular customers. You are not required to have a current license to apply as we are a partnered barber training program.

Protégé Barber Duties and Responsibilities

Greet clients as they arrive and offer them refreshments
Prep clients for their service and ask what type of styling they want
Cut and style clients’ hair to their specifications
Engage in friendly conversation with clients
Keep your station, tools, and equipment sanitized and in good condition
Ensure you have the proper products in stock for future clients

Barber Requirements and Qualifications

High school diploma, GED certificate, or completion of 9th grade
Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
Organizational and time-management abilities
Attention to detail
